Some What Ridiculous Adventures

STORY:

Summer vacation has just begun. For the youngsters at Oak Crest Stables that means their very first show is just around the corner. For as long as they can remember, they have watched the big kids ride in the Stony Wood Invitational horse show. Now it would be their turn, if they can master the art of riding in two short months. Oak Crest has multiple trainers, all with the same goal, so there is some tension between the different groups of students. The summer is bound to be full of crazy schemes, unusual problems, new friendships and a possibly a few blue ribbons.

RULES:

1. No swearing
2. No godmodding
3. Characters may not have babies (duh!)
4. You can have as may profiles as you can handle
-You can only have one trainer

"Great job Josie! Remeber to keep her straight coming up to the fence," Wal called out as Josie steered Priss toward a 18 inch fence. Archie sat and watched, amazed at how resonsive Priss was to Josie's aids. He looked down at Mr. Pibb's scruffy mane and mud cacked coat, suddenly feeling a little embarrased and wishing he had taken more time on grooming. Although grooming wasn't an easy task. It usually involved a lot of arguing. He sighed and looked back over at Josie and the sparkling Priss. Hoping she didn't notice how dirty Pibb was.

Drew was brushing Thunder when Grey raced up. She giggling like mad, and wrapped her arms around his waist, barely. Drew was tall (6'5) and thin (195 lbs), but toned. He glanced down at Grey, and said, "Get off of me, Caca." Grey giggled, and said, "Hi, Drewy. Are you riding today?" Drew sighed, and replied, "Probably, yeah. There's a good chance of it, since I am a trainer, Caca." Grey giggled, and leaned back on the stall door to watch her older friend.

Archie was pulled from his thoughts abruptly when he heard Wal. "Ok Archie you and Pibb try now!" Archie felt the color drain from his face, "Uhhh, I'm fine watching, really." Wal laughed, "Come on you've been ridding really well this week, just once." Josie chimmed in, "It's really fun!" Archie shortened his riens and squeazed Pibb forward.

Drew said to Grey, "Why don't you go watch the horses for a while? You're being a pain around here." Grey giggled, but raced off towards the training ring.

Archie had asked Pibb to walk forward. He did walk, only backward. Archie wrestled with the little beast for a few minutes until he finally swacked him with the crop. With a buck and a squeal, Pibb was off. Josie giggled.

[Dahlia]

Jake held Holland on a loose rein. At the moment he was one of the only/few students of Vlad so he had his full attention. He trotted the large white Arabian around,then asked for a canter,sitting back on his balance point,raising the reins up and smooching,bringing his energy up. Then cantered up to the large jump and cleared it easily. Jake disengaged the horse as they landed,and backed him up. This was the exercise to make him comfortable in the jumps. Also,to use up some of the horse's endless energy.


Vlad nodded,he had his horse Jinxx on lead rope,letting the young horse watch. It actually did help,it let the horse know what to do and to expect.

Grey swung onto the fence of a training ring, and giggled as she watched the horses go by. She looked back every once and a while to see when Drew would show up.

Mr. Pibb looked at the jump. Archie looked at the jump. Archie saw an red and white 18 inch verticle with a box of white flowers underneath that moved slightly in the light breeze. Mr. Pibb saw a monster, hideious jaws open wide to swallow him whole. His teeth nashed frighteningly below the red and white tounge. Archie felt Mr. Pibb slow down and start to think about running out, oh no you don't!, he thought and swacked him on the hindquaters. Mr. Pibb imediatly sped up, only to remember the moster in front of him. He paniced. There was no way out! In seconds he would be swallowed whole! In an instant he had a plan. He lept with all his might, kicking his legs up so the beast couldn't snatch them. With a thud he landed on the other side and took off at a dead gallop. Archie clung helplessly to his side. During the jump he lost his stirrups and now he couldn't get them back!

Grey watched the horse bolt, and giggled. She swung off the fence, and raced back to Drew.

Vlad heard what sounded like a very short animal bolting. More than likely Archie and Mr. Pibb. He sighed,then turned his eyes back to Jake and Holland.

Holland had his ears pricked forward,looking for the pony.

Drew lead Thunder out towards the training area he worked at. Grey came up, and walked next to him. He rolled his eyes as she skipped along.

Arhcie made a mental note to trim Mr. Pibb's mane, he couldn't see anything with Pibb's tangle mane whipping his face. He could feel the stirrups bouncing against his feet. He managed to slip his ffot through one and he fumbled with the reins. He was vaugley aware of other horses and he hoped he wasn't getting in their way.

Drew heard hoofbeats, and looked up. He saw the little pony racing towards them. He shook his head, and stepped out of the path, and gae Thunder a quick pull to follow. The horse responed reluctantly, and pulled against the reins for a moment until he realized why he had been pulled. He followed silently after Drew. Grey rushed after him quickly.
