Lucy looked over at teh enemy camp and noticed a dark silhoette. It slipped in and out of the tents and silently made its way to the shrubs. Suddenly she realized it was Shadow.

Bambi's heart hammered in her chest, she silently swallowed and looked at the enemy camp as well, shivering slightly as her thoughts came to the worse. Bambi shook her head clear, and trudged on quietly.

They were maybe only out in the open next to the enemy camp for maybe three minutes but it felt like three hours to Lucy. Once in the cover of the plants, Jason took off his back pack and pulled out a pair of night vision goggles. Lucy looked around, she hadn't realized that the sun was almost completely set and the moon was starting to rise. She did the same as Jason. Lucy shivered when she saw Shadow. The silent soldier looked almost alien with his gear and goggles on.

Bambi hid in the shade of rocks and plants, following their example and retrieving her goggles and putting them over her eyes, raising her head slightly to stare at the camp. She clenched her teeth, pushing down her nervousness.

Jason flipped a switch on his goggles and said into his head set, "Hey everyone, can you hear me?" He was speaking in an almost inadudible whisper but over the head set it sounded as though he was talking in a normal voice. Lucy said, "Loud and clear." Shadow gave a thumbs up.

Bambi nodded her head.
"Hear you just fine, Donald." she whispered into the headset, clutching her wrist in her palm.

"Good, we'll rest here until the night sets in completely, we have a better chance of going unoticed then."

"Whatever you say." Bambi muttered, crossing her arms and leaning against the rock.

Shadow sat down and began to meditate. Lucy tried to relax as the others were, but she was to pumped up on adreniline.

Against the smooth stone of the rock, she found herself drifting off to sleep, trying her best to stay conscious. It was a mystery to her how she could fall asleep at a time like this.

Jason starred up at the sky, the nice thing about being sent on missions like this was they spent their time in a place where you could really see all the stars.

Bambi blinked a few times, finding her eye lids growing heavier and heavier. She yawned quietly, laying her head onto the rock.
The teenager wondered if she should stay awake or asleep. She did need her rest, but she'd have to stay on her toes.
She stared out at the plain, putting her hands behind her head and watching faint shadows of dried plants flicker across the hard ground.

Shadow watched teh sky turn from dark blue to black. He took a deep breath, the mission was just about to et exciting.

Bambi averted her gaze from the plains of the desert up at the sky, staring up at the wide black sky, spoted with stars in utter awe. It pretty much shocked her how beautiful the sight was. She sighed, blinking her eye and likcing her lips.

Jason stood, and over the radio he said, "Ok it's time to move out."

Bambi yawned quietly and stretched, standing up and nodding her head.
"Alrighty." she said into radio.

Lucy stood and walked over to the little group. Shadow clicked a button on his goggles and pointed in the direction they needed to go. Jason nodded and began to follow him.

Bambi's head bobbed up and down, following swiftly after the boys. She rubbed her shoulder a few momments; it had stiffened up against the rock.
Bambi looked around at the barren landscape, and her team every couple of minutes, just to double check that everyone was still there.

Jason bit his lip nervously, night operations always made him alittle uneasy. Mostly because all you could see of the person infront of you was two little glowing dots on the back of their helmet. He kept his eyes glued to the dots on Shadow's helmet. Lucy squinted in the dark, it sure was hard to see.

Bambi tugged on the collar of her shirt, clearing her throat silently. First, she despised the quiet. No matter what the circumstances, it was always so tense. Then, she was a bit afraid of the dark. Funny, you'd think a Major like Bambi, who could withstand whatever you gave her, was scared of being deprived of light.

Shadow looked to his left, black. He looked to his right, black. He looked up. A helicopter passed low through the sky above them and imediatly he dove and laid still on the ground. Jason whispered into the headset,"every one down!"

Bambi supressed a squeal as she dropped to the floor without any sorts of hesitation. She squeezed her eys shut, her hands clenching into fists as she did so.
Please please please pass... she thought to herself, keeping her breath steady.

The helicopter passed over head, and then circled and passed again. Jason very slowly turned the dial on his headset until he was reciving the transmitions from the helicopter. "I swear I saw someone," then another voice, "Your eyes are going, lets get out of here." The helicopter turned and flew away. Jason laid there for a minute befroe standing up.

Bambi released her breath and stood up silently and slowly, biting down on her thumbnail. That was a close call. She shrugged off her worry and released her finger, looking ahead.
"I think it's time we kept going." she whispered into the radio.

Jason agreed, and Shadow began moving again. Lucy on trembling legs followed, that was almost to scarry for her.
